Sustainability Promotion Organizational Structure

With the Representative Director and President as its chairman, the Sustainability Committee, under the supervision of the Board of the Directors, is responsible for deciding on the Group's sustainability-related policy and developing an overall plan for its sustainability, monitoring the progress on the plan and assessing the achievement status.
In addition, the Sustainability Committee has a duty to periodically report to the Board of Directors which has the responsibility for supervising the Committee's sustainability promotion process and giving directions for the Committee to follow, if necessary.
The Committee has Working Groups in place under it, each addressing its assigned specific issue.
Each Working Group identifies sustainability-related risks and opportunities in the relevant issue and considers how to deal with the identified risks and opportunities and how to address challenges arising from them, while promoting collaboration with the Company's business divisions and Group companies (domestic/overseas) in a cross-cutting manner.
Furthermore, we have set up a Sustainability Department, a department dedicated to ESG, which not only serves as a secretariat of the Sustainability Committee, but also manages the progress concerning the issue addressed by each Working Group and considers/plans a sustainability strategy to suggest it to the Sustainability Committee.
