Founded to engage in the business of scouring silk "Habutai" fabric (renowned for its softness, sheen and silky hand).
1923
Established Fukui Seiren Kako Co., Ltd. to start a textile dyeing/finishing business.
1967
Established Seiren Shokusan Co., Ltd. (presently Seiren Shoji Co., Ltd.)
1969
Participated in management of Gunsen Co., Ltd.
1970
Established Seiren Electronics Co., Ltd.
1971
Established ALMA JAPAN CORP (presently Seiren ALMA Co., Ltd.)
1973
Renamed Seiren Co., Ltd. Listed both in the First Sections of the Tokyo and Osaka Stock Exchanges.
1975
Started the business of planning, manufacturing and selling automotive upholstery materials.
1984
Started the business of selling electrically conductive fabric material "Plat®"
1985
Established Seiren KP Co., Ltd.

Established Saha Seiren Co., Ltd. in Thailand to start full-scale global expansion of automotive upholstery material business.

Developed the world's first patented process of extracting "pure sericin" from silkworm cocoons;
Started selling "Comoace®", a cosmetic containing pure sericin, a silk protein from cocoons.
1997
Established Seiren Produtos Automotivos Ltda.（Brazil）
1998
Started selling house exterior wall covering base sheet material "Lamitect@" (moisture-permeable waterproof)
1999
Released original brand "mash mania" to launch SPA (specialty store retailer of private label apparel) business.

Established a new facility "R & D Center" within the premises of the General Life Science Station.

Started selling Viscotecs@ for non-textile use; Started selling a weed proofing sheet "Grass Guard";
Opened Seiren EU Office (France).

Established SEIREN INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED (India);
